  COUNTY BOARD CONSOLIDATES OFFICES OF COUNTY AUDITOR AND COUNTY TREASURER  
 

The County Board, at their meeting held on March 9, 2010, abolished the office of the Crow Wing County Treasurer and established the office of the Crow Wing County Auditor-Treasurer.  The Board's action is subject to a reverse referendum if a petition is signed by 10% of voters who voted in the last General Election.  In the absence of a petition, the effective date for consolidation will be at the beginning of the next term of office in January 2011.  For further information, contact the County Administrator's Office at 218-824-1067.

 
  NOTICE OF TOWN MEETING FOR UNORGANIZED TERRITORY DEAN LAKE  
 

The County Board, acting as the Town Board for Unorganized Territory Dean Lake, will hold a Town Meeting on March 30, 2010 at 6 p.m. at the Ross Lake Town Hall located at 27853 County Road 36 (9 mi. E of Hwy 6 on CSAH 36).  Agenda items will include 800 MHz, fire contract and request to fund an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) for the Ross Lake First Responders.  There will be an open forum time at the beginning of the meeting to address any other concerns.  For further information, contact the County Administrator's Office at 218-824-1067.
 

 
  PUBLIC HEARING SET TO CONSIDER OFF SALE LIQUOR LICENSE APPLICATION  
 

The County Board has scheduled a public hearing for 9:15 a.m. on March 23, 2010, in the County Board Room, 3rd floor, Historic Courthouse, to consider the application of Varani's, LLC, Checkered Flag, First Assessment District, for an Off Sale Liquor License.  For further information, contact the County Auditor's Office at 218-824-1045.
