Breast and Cervical Cancer |
| The SAGE/Minnesota Breast and cervical cancer control program is a federally funded program designed to increase breast and cervical cancer screening in Minnesota. A particular focus of the SAGE Program is to pay for tests for women whose income and insurance coverage act as barriers to obtaining regular screening. |

The American Cancer Society currently recommends that women receive cancer screening according to the following guidelines:
- Monthly breast self exams at age 20 and over
- Clinical breast exam
every 3 years, age 20-40, yearly age 40 and over
Screening mammogram every 1-2 years, age 40-50, yearly age 50 and over |
