Car seat clinics are the fourth Thursday of every month from 8:30 am - 3:00 pm by appointment only.
Expectant Mother Class is the 1st Thursday every other month (February, April, June, August, October, and December) at 1:00 at the Health Division.

Rear Facing (infant or convertible) Car Seats Weight: up to 35 pounds (varies by manufacturer; check label on car seat for both weight and height limits).
Harness straps in reinforced harness slots that are at or below shoulder level. |

Secure children properly every time they ride! Most crashes occur near home and can be violent, even at lower speeds. When used correctly, child safety seats can prevent injuries and save lives. |

Forward Facing Child is in a Convertible seat (means the seat can be rear or forward facing). Harness straps needs to be in the top slot for this type of seat.
Preschoolers belong in Boosters!!! If your child is over 40 pounds and between the ages of 3 and 12 (under 80 lbs and under 49"), He/she should be riding in a booster type car seat. |

At our clinics we will be educating you on the proper way to install your childs car seat, hazards in the vehicle, bulky clothing, next step education, etc. We will also answer any questions you may have. |

Lap and Shoulder Belts
Keep lap and shoulder belts snug and flat.
Never put shoulder belts under kids' arm or behind their backs.
Position the lap belt snugly over hips or upper thighs.
Shoulder belts snugly across the chest and shoulder.
Be sure your child is tall enough to sit all the way back against the vehicle seat with knees bent over the edge. |

Pregnant Women and Seat Belts
- Never place the lap belt above or on your belly.
- Place the shoulder belt across your chest (between your breasts) and away from your neck.
- Adjust the lap belt across your hips/pelvis, and below your belly.
- Never place the shoulder belt behind your back or under your arm.
