We are a group of professionals and concerned citizens who started meeting to respond to the needless traffic related deaths and injuries due to unrestrained vehicle occupants, misuse of safety seats, impaired and distracted driving. |

Crow Wing County ranks 8th out of 87 counties in MN with the highest rate of alcohol-related fatalities and injuries in 2004. In 2002, there were 8 fatal crashes reported with alcohol being a factor in 6 of the crashes. All 8 were unrestrained. Alcohol was also involved in 11% of the non-fatal crashes that same year. Crow Wing County, in 2002, spent more than 9.5 million dollars due to restraints not being used. It is our goal to make the roadways safer for all people who reside in or visit Crow Wing County. |
