Immunization Clinic

Public Immunization Clinics are given through Crow Wing County
Health Department. There is a minimal charge for vaccine
administration but no one will be denied if unable to pay.
A parent or legal guardian with an immunization record must
accompany each child under the age of 18. To schedule an
appointment, please call 824-1080 or Margie at 824-1098.
The schedule is: Tuesday March 9, and Tuesday March 23, 2010 from 8:15 - 4:15 pm

Passenger Safety Program
Crow Wing County Health Department offers car seat clinics
the fourth Thursday of every month.  We also offer family
education classes on the first Thursday every other month starting in February please call Patty to make an appointment at 218-824-1093.

Women, Infant, & Children (WIC)
Crow Wing County Health Department administers the
Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants
and Children (WIC).  The program provides nutrition
education, referrals to medical providers and vouchers
for specific foods for pregnant, post-partum and
breast-feeding women, infants, and children up to age 5. 
Clinics are held the first and third Friday at the
Cuyuna Regional Medical Center in Crosby and several
days in Brainerd.  


The income threshold is set fairly high.

Breast and Cervical Cancer Screening
 
A grant (SAGE/Komen) that will pay for an annual exam,
Pap smear and mammogram for women over 40 who meet
generous income guidelines. If you have insurance that covers
this procedure but you have a deductible, SAGE/Komen will
pay the deductible.  Call Crow Wing County Health Department

Tobacco-Free Community Coalition
The Tobacco Free Community Coalition holds monthly meetings
at the Crow Wing County Health Department.  If you are
concerned about youth tobacco use or second hand smoke
issues, please consider joining the coalition.  For more
information please call Stephanie at 824-1079. 

Crow Wing County Pasenger Safety Coalition
We are a group of professionals and concerned citizens
who started meeting to respond to the needless traffic
related deaths and injuries due to unrestrained vehicle
occupants, misuse of safety seats, and drivers under
the influence of drug and/or alcohol. Passenger Safety
Coalition meets every 2nd Monday of the month.
