Functions & Responsibilities
The auditor-treasurer is charged with overseeing:

• Accounting functions and creation of financial statements
• Administration of the property tax system
• Business licensing
• Calculation and collection of property taxes for all jurisdictions in the county
• Collection of mortgage and deed tax
• Coordinating vital statistics
• Election administration
• Managing the county's investments

• Auditor-treasurer responsibilities are subject to Minnesota State Statutes, Chapters 384 and 385.

Location
The offices of the auditor-treasurer are located on the second floor in the historic courthouse at 326 Laurel Street, Brainerd.
