The Crow Wing County Board on Tuesday, June 22, 2010 approved the restructuring and consolidation of the County Land Services Department. The Board's action consolidated five County offices into three units as part of the County's effort to reduce more than one million dollars in County spending.
Public Land Management is responsible for managing tax forfeit property for the County's forestry, recreation and related land management activities encompassing 103,000 acres of county public forest land.

The County Board of Commissioners of Crow Wing County, Minnesota, assign to the Land Services Supervisor the authority and duties of county land commissioner as set forth in Minnesota Statutes, under the supervision of the Land Services Director.
Management is based upon professional natural resource management practices and techniques, Minnesota Statutes relating to the management of tax forfeited lands and County Board policies and directives.
Some of the major activities include: Timber Harvest Program, Recreation, Land Sales, Land Exchanges, Leases, Forest Development Projects and Urban Management.
A variety of aerial photographs, forest vegetation maps and topographical maps are available for viewing. The Public Land Management Staff welcomes your questions relating to County administered tax forfeited lands.
