On April 11, 2006, the Crow Wing County Board of Commissioners adopted a SUSTAINABLE FOREST MANAGEMENT POLICY AND A STATEMENT OF OPERATIONAL COMMITMENTS.  As a result of this initiative, Crow Wing County Natural Resource Management Division is in the process of making some changes in its policies and standard operating procedures in order to improve our management practices.   Our goal is to utilize contractors which have: a good performance record meet minimal training requirements comply with all State and Federal regulations have the required insurance coverage Below are links which provide more detailed information concerning this certification effort and defines what is expected of contractors that operate on County Land.
