On October 18, 2006 the Minnesota BCA held a press conference to announce a new web page titled "Minnesota Predatory Offender Registry". This is a web site that they have set up in regards to non-compliant offenders in hopes to enhance public safety and obtain assistance from the public in trying to locate these offenders who have failed to register their current address (both primary and secondary) and other information required by the Minnesota BCA. Within the first week, the BCA reported that the site had received 16,000 hits which led to 30 tips and 2 arrestees were made-one was in Arkansas. All information shared with law enforcement stays anonymous.
