The Sheriff is extremely grateful to the volunteers within our county that help contribute to his office's mission to protect and serve the residents of Crow Wing County.  Although we have a number of volunteers who contribute in numerous ways to his office, there are two units that without our volunteers would not exist.  Each group is described briefly below.

The Crow Wing County Dive Team was formed in 1987 and is made up of both law enforcement and civilian volunteers who are dedicated to the rescue of water accident victims and to the recovery of drowning victims.

The Crow Wing County Mounted Patrol is comprised of 20 active members who with their horses assist in the search and rescue of missing persons within the county.
