  Buffaloberry:
Leaf: Alternate, simple, elliptical to ovate, entire margins, 1 to 2 inches long, somewhat thickened dark green above with numerous silvery white scales, silvery white below with red-brown scales.
Flower:  flowers both light yellow-green, small (1/6 inch) appearing in early spring.
Fruit: A bright red  ripen in mid to late summer

Juneberry:
Flower: white  appear in spring just before or with the leaves.
Fruit: Red to purple round berry, 1/4 to 3/8 inch in diameter, in small hanging clusters, ripen in early to mid summer. The fruits are edible and may be the best kept secret in the woods.
Form: A shrub or small tree up to 40 feet (occasionally much larger) with a narrow crown.
