Applicant may present original Ordination Certificate, Ministerial Credentials, OR a letter on church letterhead authorizing the minister to solemnize marriages, signed by three other church officials; OR if the church has no letterhead, send the letter with the three signatures notarized, either in person, by mail, or by fax. The Credentials are then registered within this county, and the Minister is authorized to solemnize marriages anywhere within the state of Minnesota. A certificate of filing the credentials is available on request. There is no charge to file Ministerial Credentials.
